Casing layer
    #7582585 - 10/31/07 10:26 PM (16 years, 5 months ago)

How much mycelium cover should be on the casing layer before being introduced to a fruiting chamber? Pictures would be great.

Thanks,
Rev. B.

barely poking through the service! What you can do is let come through a little and where ever it first starts coming through pour some more sterile casing soil to the first growth and it will come up a little more even but just poking through though you don't want it to be over taking the the casing. Its just meant to be a non nutritous layer that holds the right amoounmoisture to the substrate
