Cased ---> Pins ---> Don't grow very big
    #756655 - 07/18/02 02:53 PM (21 years, 8 months ago)

Ok here is my problem. I have two casings that colonized great and started some aggresive pinning(cambos). The problem is when the pins start to get bigger, about 1/4 of an inch, they just stop. It has been about a week and no growth. There seems to be some white looking fuzz on the very bottom of each of the shroomsters. I am not sure what is up. I have tried giving them mistings and water. I think the temp is about 65-70 degrees. Is this the problem. What causes fuzz on the base of the shrooms. Is this mycelium?

Thanks for any input

The fuzzy stuff is mycelium, sounds like you have some high humidity. I had a small bulk run that did what you are talking about, PR's, that run never did come out of it. Could just be a fucked up strain too, that happens from time to time.

the fuzz at the base is mycelium, but dont worry. the fuzz is good, and you can eat it with no worries. i think your problem might be that your not fanning them enough. give them some more Ox and they should be alright. fanning 3-4-5 X a day is great. i fan mine everytime i come in my room, but i've heard that there is such a thing as too much fanning. so 3-5X a day should be fine.

Since you got a nice healthy abundance of pins going, heres what you do.

Like everyone said b4

Fan more
Mist less
Make sure your RH(Humidity) - Lowers to around 90ish

Youll be golden from there.
