Salvia wilting and don't understand why
    #7519634 - 10/15/07 02:09 PM (16 years, 6 months ago)

My salvia cutting, rooted in a small cup inside a humidity chamber, is very slowly wilting to death I think. The same leaves as when it first arived so maybe they are just going to die then it will be ok but everyday they look slightly more wilted. They are wilting very slowly, its really weird because in my experience with kratom it wilts really fast and the leaves fall off. Need pics just ask

What kind of lighting is your Sally exposed to? I have a recently rooted cutting sitting on a windowsill. This weekend the weather was nice so I opened up the windows. At the time, I didn't think anything of the fact that the plant was in direct sunlight (something Sally doesn't generally care for too much.) Mid afternoon Sunday, I noticed that the plant was beginning to droop along the lines of being thirsty- except I just watered it Saturday, the day before... I moved her out of the sun, and she regained her composure overnight. I think the combination of heat, light and low humidity might have been too much.

It sits in a humidity chamber directly in front of a window.
