Shrooms for tea, dry or fresh?

So, using the wonderful search function I've found tons of recipes and advice for actually making the tea, but one question still eludes me. They say to grind the shrooms into a fine powder. I assume this means they need to be dry? Or is there some way to make tea with fresh shrooms?
Thanks for any help!

you dont need to grind them to a powder. then you can't strain them out of the liquid, and this kills the point of making tea. you might as well just put them in orange juice.
tea works well with dry or fresh. no need to powder, just cut into small pieces. you'l notice these peices will swell significantly, so water permation is not a problem.

I was just wondering about this too, as I will most likely be in possession of fresh mushrooms in some quantity before long. Thanks for the info, Moon Glue!

So there's no real point when they're fresh since you have to eat them anyway, which kind of defeats the purpose of extracting it to tea aka, not having to bother with digesting the shrooms and avoiding the nausea?

If you grind them into powder it gets all the actives out better. It all strains out perfectly fine after when dryed i dont know why he even said that... Sometime mushrooms are to waterlogged to eat fresh(maggots)

All my shroom trips have been off mushrooms I bought from other people, and therefore were dried... I put them in a weed grinder then throw them into hot water. All my shroom trips off of the tea have been extremely potent, and I don't believe anything more than negligible amounts of psilocybin and psilocin remain in the pulp. (Myself and my friends have tried eating the pulp but it does next to nothing)

Anyone actually like the taste of mushroom tea like I do?
I also like table mushrooms ALOT, so when I make tea I enjoy the taste and texture of the boiled mushrooms, and consume them too.

The mushrooms I've grown don't taste half as bad as the ones I've bought from others. Before, even the slightest smell of those things would make me gag, and tea was my thing. The only bad thing about tea is that it makes the trip shorter if you drink it all at once.
I'm fine with eating my own, I just put some chips in my mouth at the same time as the mush and then chew away. Tastes quite good!

I do and am glad to see I'm not alone in that.
I love shrooms. I'll chew a dried cube and savor the flavor like a fine wine. And the type of wine I love is generally older and better than my income allows.
A good and old wine delivers an experience, a high unique unto itself, just like a particular batch of shrooms.
