I drink 8 beers a night on average, I will drink 10 tonight..I feel great and I have been drinking off and on since I was 19..I drank numerous times when I was 16...but please.. I think it effects your short term memory like pot does, I heard alcohol kills way more brain cells then weed.

In moderation, alcohol consumption has significant health benefits. These include a lower risk of heart attack [1], lower risk of diabetes [2], lower risk of Alzheimer's disease [3], reduced risk of stroke [4], and an increase in overall longevity [5]. It is important to note however that excessive consumption of alcohol has serious detrimental effects to a person's health.
A 2001 report estimates that medium and high consumption of alcohol led to 75,754 deaths in the USA. Low consumption has some beneficial effects so a net 59,180 deaths were attributed to alcohol. [3] Alcohol has also been linked to cancer. "3.6% of all cancer cases worldwide are related to alcohol drinking, resulting in 3.5% of all cancer deaths." (See Alcohol and cancer for details) [4] Alcohol is also a potentially addictive substance to a large percentage of people.
Alcohol addiction can also lead to malnutrition because it can alter digestion and metabolism of most nutrients. Severe thiamine deficiency is very common due to deficiency of folate, riboflavin, vitamin B6 and selenium. Muscle cramps, nausea, appetite loss, nerve disorders and depression are some common symptoms. It can also lead to osteoporosis and bone fractures due to vitamin D deficiency (Vitamin D helps in calcium absorption). Alcohol stimulates insulin production which speeds up the glucose metabolism and can result in low blood sugar.
Alcohol affects the brain, causing slurred speech, clumsiness, slow reflexes, and a loss of inhibition. The consumption of alcohol does not kill brain cells but rather damages dendrites, the branched ends of nerve cells that bring messages into the cell.
Alcohol dilates the channels in the cellular structure that regulates the flow of calcium, causing more calcium than normal to flow into the cells and stimulating increased activity. This does not kill the whole cell, but causes a loss of the end segments, leading to the loss of incoming signals and therefore a change in brain function.
Most of this damage is temporary, but the recovery process changes nerve-cell structure permanently.

Once a week isn't likely to give the liver time to recover from damage.
When you binge drink a number of liver cells die because of the nature of how the liver processes alcohol. This damage repairs itself over time, but the liver does not heal rapidly.
The damage may take a very long time to show symptoms, which is probably why cirrhosis of the liver is often pretty significant by the time the person afflicted by it realizes something is wrong.

I have known people that drink a case of beer a day, along with weed and sometimes cocaine use. Cowboys are fucking crazy fucks! This was one persons use.

I know its pretty bad but ive been drinking on average 10 beers a night plus weed for the past 5-6 years. The only noticable health problem ive had is a constantly growing beer gut. My doctor says Im pretty healthy otherwise.

I was worried at one point when i noticed i was struggling to find words that'd normally come to me easily... I usually have phases where i drink a lot (a lot meaning a binge [up to 17 cans but usually around 10, 5% abv], every other night).
I noticed i only had this mental block after i'd been drinking heavily for a couple of weeks... I've cut back recently to one or two binges a week and i'm back to normal...
I had a liver test a few years ago after binge drinking regularly in long periods since i was 13 (i'm nearly 25 now).. The test came back fine, except one enzyme which was slightly off but it wasn't anything to worry about...
I'm still young though,, i don't think those tests being OK means it's alright to binge regularly health wise because it probably isn't.

Straight shots of bacardi 151 (the stuff with the WARNING: FLAMMABLE label on it) followed by smoking joints.
If that doesn't fuck you up (in the medical sense) then you're either irish or invincible.
it gave me an ulcer... and a serious case of the spins, which are really a lot worse when you're still a bit baked.
