Yup, I get that too after any trip (sometimes after getting REALLY high on just weed, too). It's nothing to worry about, it's actually pretty fun

Actually it's called HPPD, and for a very small percentage of people it can be permanent. I've had it for 10 years now. You learn to deal with it and limit your night driving.

Some say that certain people are more susceptible to it and even a few trips can set it off. Other camps insist repeated heavy use of psychedelics will cause it to be permanent.
No one really knows for sure, yet.
Once I realized I had it, I stopped all hallucinogens for 5 years hoping it'd clear up. It got better, but never went away completely.

I see that sometimes when I'm coming up on acid. Have had quite a few acid trips where the first visual effect I noticed was the rippling of text on the screen (sometimes on this very website), as if the screen were a flag billowing in the wind.
I think some people might be predisposed to "permavisuals." My brother's had it for quite a while now. I on the other hand have tripped 30+ times and never noticed any residual visual effects what so ever, with the exception that lights' halos are occasionally very colorful even when I'm sober (though I'm not sure that was truly caused by acid, but instead simply brought to my attention).

I think you'll be ok if you only trip 6-7 times a year and stick to organics (Note this is my opinion and is not backed up by any experiments or anything)
But LSD and DEF. RCs seem to set it off more than organics do...
I've heard of people going blind for a short period of time after using an RC...2c-b I believe...look it up on erowid.com if you think im lying

My bro got it from eating gigantic, irresponsible amounts of shrooms over the course of a couple months. He would literally munch on them for lunch.
I've heard a lot of conflicting reports about exactly how long HPPD takes to clear up or if it even does. I'm pretty convinced that it's a purely psychosomatic disorder. If it seems to be wearing off, just stay away from psychedelics for another couple weeks or months and your vision will probably be completely back to normal very soon.

I've had a few brushes with weekly use of psychedelics (mainly LSD). Sometimes it would be less than a week between trips, sometimes more. I had acid after a monthlong hiatus from psychedelics the other day and I'm gonna shroom tonight. It never gave me any trouble, though ongoing weekly use does make the trips a lot less special so I don't do it anymore, and tripping more than twice in a week (which I have only done once) will make your tolerance just shoot right up.
