Best method for sterilizing used spore syringes?

I want to take my old spore syringes and sterilize them for use with LC. Is it best to PC them, or would it be just as effective to boil water and suck it up into the syringe several times?

And if it's best to PC them, should I leave the plunger all the way in, or should I leave the plunger and body separated while PCing? I figured if I left them separated, I would just open the door to contamination when I went to reintroduce the plunger into the body.

Or should I just say screw it and go buy brand new syringes altogether?

either way.

some brands of syringes can't be pressure cooked...
they get deformed or melt.

if you are pressure cooking your syringe...
clean the syringe out really good...
then leave the syringe full of water...
and then wrap the syringe in alum foil and pressure cook.

for using used syringes and needles using the boiling water method...

1. Fill a large cooking pot halfway with tap or distilled water.
(use distilled water if your tap water contains higher levels of minerals and chemicals).

2. Boil the water in the pot on high for a minimum of ten minutes...
this should be adequate to sterilize and cleans the water of all bacteria, viruses, and mold spores.

3. Take your empty syringe(leave the needle on) and fill it with the boiling water.
Allow it to sit for two minutes with the hot water inside.

4. Purge the hot water from the syringe into a sink, not back into the saucepan.

5. Repeat steps 3 and 4...two or three more times. the last time leave the hot water in the syringe.

6. Place the syringe in a cool draft-free place, preferable in a clean zip-lock bag

7. Allow it to cool for several hours before making up your spore syringes...etc.
