Um couldnt one of the admins just do it for me out of the goodness of their heart? 10 dollars is a bit steep for a free site is it not? I Want the point system back. I fully understand that you wanna keep people from being able to do it easily, but i cant eat a screen name.

If it's not worth $10 to you then it's not worth confusing the other members about your identity.

That's utter bullshit considering that most people who frequent this site spend much more than that on marijuana and other assorted drugs on a regular basis.

I'm just spouting off the lame excuse everyone gives...
Although personally, I can't really justify spending $10 for a name change myself, times are tough, but I don't want one, so no skin off my back...

Funny u mention that... I PMed Ythan about the possibility of adding a one time name change into the list of benefits of the 3/6/12 month supporter accounts. Any thoughts on that?

It's a good idea, except raising money isn't really the point. Name changes are a very frequent request but it makes things extremely confusing if you can't tell who is who from one day to the next. Imposing a small fee is an impartial way of discouraging people from changing their identity while still leaving the option available for anyone who really wants it. The actual $10 is relatively immaterial; personally, instead of selling a couple extra supporter accounts I'd rather people just don't change their names.
I have no sympathy for the people who claim they can't afford $10 though. No, you don't want to pay $10 and that's different. It's up to you to prioritize your spending and it's up to us to decide what we charge. Pay or don't pay but spare us the sob story.

plus dude, a supporter account is like $4 a month, a name change is $10. it'd be a profit cut if you ask me.

I hear you, that's why i didn't put 1 month in there. That way, at least it would be only every 3 months. But you could always only add it to the 1 year account.

I can afford to do it. But if it were 2 dollars it would make more sense to me. I just didnt think i would be on here too much but that changed over time. Is there a way i can transfer my posts to a new account?
