Anybody know about UK search rights and Cannabis law - URGENT HELP NEEDED

The pigs pulled me over and ran off (stupid I know) they beat me to the floor and started questioning me about a burgalry.

I confessed I knew nothing about the burgalry but that I had some cannabis in my pocket.

They stuck me in the pig car and drove me to my house, made me open the door and they searched my house.

They found more weed there and they are gonna bust me quite bad.

I didn't think they were allowed to do this but I'm having difficulty working out what the law is.

My friend said theres something called 'False Pretences' which means if they were looking for burgaled items then they can't bust you for drugs!?

The problem is courts on its way soon - my solicitor doesn't know fuck all and reckons I should just take whatever they give me.

Should I just take it or does anybody here know that the police were in the wrong and I should fight it???

First get a better solicitor and try to delay your court date.

When you let them into your house what was your status - arrested, cautioned, 'helping with their enquiries'?

Did you sign anything to let them into your house or did you just not object to them going in?

I don't think false pretences works like that, if they were in your house looking for something, even if they don't find it, if they find weed they can still bust you for it.

You shouldn't have let them in your house if you had a choice, and if you didn't have a choice there isn't much you can do about it now. Hope your ok though.
