recording video from a window

Does anybody know how to or know a good program for recording video from a window on my desktop.. specificly streaming video from the web..

You could be a bit more specific about what websites you are watching, and what you want to download....

But here's where you can download an add-on for Firefox to download videos you watch form Youtube, Metacafe, Pornotube, etc onto your comptuer :cool:

Since the videos sre in Flash Video format you need the FLV Player to watch them.

And if you don't use Firefox, there's a site that let's copy & paste the link of a video and creates a download link for you: http://www.javimoya.com/

And there is a way to just record what's on your screen (like a VCR), it's called screencasting and here's a free program that does it:
