figure out what you're going to need in terms of a host. What kind of language are you using (site wise?), how much space is realistic, what kind of traffic you expect etc.
Godaddy is pretty good but they don't allow chmodding if memory serves me. I ended up getting fucked up hardcore by a douche bag who told me they did, ended up getting fucked over for a years worth of services and spending hours trying to set up shit just to find it wouldn't work out anyway.

Try www.1and1.com Better than GoDaddy, especially so far as domain prices are concerned.
Nice Avatar, btw. :P

dont go with 1and1. they are huge and lots of people use them, but they fucked me good one time.
i'd say register at godaddy or gkg.net and ask one of the many tech people you know to provide you with a bit of space. most new sites dont use many resources.

You talking about GoDaddy hosting?
yea, the douche who told me they allowed chmodding was a flippin retard! Guaranteed they did, but at the end of the day it was just another schizophrenic trying to convince that they're right, regardless of reality.

(im going to act like i know what im talking about here)
im going to assume it'll be run on linux hosting(?), the only Prerequisites are:
- PHP v4.3 or higher supported web server with safe mode off (for guestbook,RSS feed, folder protection and ShoppingCart)
- web server must host PHP files.
- server should support PHP mail() function.
- site will be run using: PHP, XML,& Adobe flash.
how about the one she suggested:?

lol, next thing you gotta do is find a service that has all the features you need. Make sure its reputable. Some hosting services sound great, and hype themselves up a lot but suuuuuuck. A lot I've seen have been slow and will periodically be offline.
Try looking around and talking to other web designers and see what they recommend hosting wise.

I've been using 1&1 for over 3 years now and it's the best host I have ever used. You get massive features and tons of space. I have used several other hosts in the past and none of them compare to 1&1. I'd say go with them. My site has never been down since I went with them.
