Listening to foreign music while high?

My friends and I all dig it, sometimes trying to sing along. With pot, sometimes it is nice not to understand what is being said and just roll with the beat.
Foreign pop especially is great. Some Jpop, chinese pop, Israeli pop, turkish pop, etc

Try listening to Sigur Ros' untitled album () - they're Icelandic musicians but all the lyrics are an invented language that is interally sound grammatically and has its own syntax and everything. It's beautiful.

I have all the Sigur Ros albums. Their album () is great. I love track four, and there is an even better, more powerful version of it that is rather hard to find from the end of Vanilla Sky.

"Sure, you've heard foreign music before. But have you heard foreign music...on weed?"
I have to admit, I dig flamenco. Those guys are talented. Listen to Carlos Montoya. He's excellent.

Why do you have to be high to listen to music you don't understand?

I almost never listen to the lyrics, I always just listen to the music and the vocalist as an instrument along with the beat. Foreign music is really cool, by the way.

What is the best work of Ravi Shankar? I am interested in trying out his music but don't know where to start.

I can't listen to much English music, with a few very specific exceptions.
I tend to prefer quieter Chinese music, Turkish swing, and the Arabic music that you can subtitle in your mind with Anti-American lyrics and it still sounds right. Not that I am anti-American - the music just sounds better that way.
Most English music that I can listen to will directly, in easily understood lyrics, be against 'The Machine' or be about getting high in general. Only exceptions I can think of are the songs by Japanese singer Yuri Chika. She sings in Japanese, Chinese, and English. Very easily understood lyrics and a lot of her songs are really good, if you're into her kind of music.
