Cool man i don't know subbs but they look pretty fat, the gills look good and there's definite bands on lots of them.

I know i'd be excited to see those prints if i had them :imslow:

Looks like a possible mixed collection. Any that print black are safe to eat and likely active. I would spore print them all if I were you.

Spore printing all of them on your first few hunts is a good idea.

Make sure they are black and not dark brown, black as midnight on the dark side of the moon.

Black spores indicate the genus Panaeolus. I suspect some of the active lawn pans might be a different species than the Pan subbs found on horse dung and hay bails, but what is in a name really? You can call them pan subbs if you want. Just make sure the prints are BLACK.

Foes should have a dark brown print, not purplish. Judging by your pics they look like foes, inactive.

Yeah cultivation is fun and science filled but hunting has a sense to it you can only get from smelling, knowing where to look, and a good sense of the shrooms.

I have relatives in Mass. and New hampshire, yet I dont know when I will be heading back but I will sometime. lol
