you in school now? art school maybe?
a some of the early shots look like they were assignments, the LEDs, very assignment like but interesting none the less. you're good with capturing a feel especially in your portraiture
my first camera was a yashica, the second was an x-700... a couple years ago all my equipment was stolen except my nikon, I lost my medium format stuff, lights and all... I just dug out the last of my film and was wondering if you'd like it, there's a mix of 35mm and 120 if you wanna pass on the 120

most of the photos on there aren't assignments unless they were black and white. i went through an led phase. where i absolutely loved them.
i was going to go to an art school. in florida. ringling. but i didn't want to live in fl. so i was going to go to scad. in ga. but it was stilll too hot. i wanted to go somewhere north. risd was way too expensive, chicago's art school was okay. but. i hated the city. so here i am in oregon.
i enjoy just photographing on my own time. i need to take a color photography course (so i can learn how to develop my own color photos and film) and most art schools are in big cities, which i couldn't live in. but univ of oregon is amazing. and i love it here. and wow. i don't know why i just rambled that much.
yeah i have been using a minolta x700 for about four or five years. i wish i had a camera to use 120 on though. as soon as i start making money from my job (that i just started today) i'm going to buy some new camera equip/large format cameras on ebay and stuff..
anyway. this is what i want to do with my life. travel and photograph. but i kinda need the money to be able to do that.

damn... schooled in Ga, that's here I am now... I coulda saved on postage.
photography has been a big part of my life since I was about 10 or so, after my stuff got robbed I've been playing with a midrange digital, it doesnt compare. it's OK but I'm not liking it as much but there's a little more readily available functionality at the sacrifice of control.
I'll toss a few pics up that you might like tomorrow, I have them stored on another drive and I have to get up in a couple hours for work...

that's so horrible that you got robbed of your stuff. i couldn't imagine losing my minolta.
it's so hard to convert to digi, that i can't do it. but i know someday i'll have to. especially if i do end up travelling a lot. but that probably won't happen for a while.
i'm looking forward to seeing some of your photos

nikons are the shit. Great pictures by the way, I'm also having trouble converting to digital.

you've got an eye for ordinary life, that's not given to everybody. and developing your own colour... wauw, have fun with that, not ordinary either.

do you mean the developing or the printing actually ?
well, my teatcher says our art schools don't teach it anymore. for what I know the printing is the same way as black and white but with 9 baths instead of 3.

both.
yeah they are starting to cut down on the whole film and darkroom stuff. which is a real god damn shame. i really don't wanna go digital. but i know my school isn't cutting it out yet. not for a while at least.. thankfully.
9 baths instead of 3. jeez. i wonder how many chemicals for the film developing.
