 idiot proof grow kits

I have tried and failed three time. Looking on ebay and have noticed the the mycogarden by universityscientific.com and wanted to know if anyone has tried it or what you all thought. I was also thinking of trying the myco bag again and the shaker. Who is good to buy spores from?

Don't get discouraged, what parts of your technique are you having problems with?
What kind of techniques do you practice?
Have you done lots of reading and research about this hobbie?
I read for weeks and weeks before I even started buying things. If you don't have a knowledge base about what it is you want to do, you defiantly aren't going to be able to do it effectively.FYI
Maybe briefly explain what your grows have consisted of, including the sterilization techniques you use, spores, substrates, incubation, FC. The more info you give us the more we can help.

PF tek is impossible to screw up, and requires only an evening's worth of labor for 12-24 jars--enough to outperform a modest bulk grow, hands down. Why all this fuss about kits?

I tried to follow the instructions from a kit i bought in Vegas and failed. I tried two grow bags and again failed. Third time might be the charm. Like I said I might be an idiot

Okay, that was exaggerative. But it's goddamned hard to do twelve PF cakes and make every one of them screw up! Even half, really. I've never had one fall to contamination yet, with the exception of a lot of 16 I added quinoa flour to back before I had my PC (whups! Endospores!). Even a couple of those colonized about half-way, and I managed to fruit them for a while after a cleanup to remove bacterial substrate (see grow journal).
Really, though, a few metabolites, maybe--but full-blown contamination? I don't know, I haven't done it yet. And I am a clumsy, stupid son of a bitch, most of the time. With a filthy apartment.

Ralphster's B+ is nice. Had a lot of luck with it myself, if the contam record above says anything.

I think the only failproof method is to F-up at least that many times. Bulk is by far the most fun though. wild bird seed horse poo 50/50 casing and double tub is the easiest and bang for your buck method I have used by far!!
PF tek always caused me a heart attack.
Amazonians are wicked easy but they need a lot of food (hores poo). I would go with Hawkseye for prints, syringes. He sent me spores within 2 weeks.

To each their own, I guess. I've fooled around with a lot of teks, but I still do like PF for when I really want to be guaranteed something fruitable in two/two and a half weeks' time. I put twelve jars together in something like an hour the other week, didn't stress over sterility, and they're all ready to go now. Just waiting until I clean my greenhouse up to fruit them.
