small fragile lawn mushroom with black spores which dosen't look like a coprinus and hence, dosen't look like it's cap/gills would delliquess; i'd say Panaeolus species.

are they mottled [or speckled] in appearance?
are you sure the print was actualy black and not dark brown?

ok, there is no such thing in mushroom identification as almost purple. look at the print in better light. if it looks 'almost purple' then it is most probably purple, or purple brown. i also highly recomend you leave your prints longer. the deeper the print, the better you will be able to guage the color.

print looks black to me, but then i'm viewing it from a photo over a computer monitor. if that's the case, it's a Panaeolus. there are at least a couple of lawn enhabiting species, at least two of them active and not the greatest amount of information available on them as a whole. the typical rules is that if they bruise blue, they are probably one of those two, and if they don't, it's actualy not easy to say for sure.
if anybody else has anything handy on Panaeolus as a genus, i'd love to see it myself. i've seen only a few limited keys.
