i have recently over the last 2 years, gotten deeply into the world of enlightenment and openmindness, trying shrooms triggered this. but i was simply wondering what are some good books to read, i see you guys quote and talk about books i hear you talk about leary books, and tibetian books and many others. i thought about reading the tibetian book of the dead, i think im gonna go buy that, but does anyone have any suggestions?

thanks

For a quality, old-school mindfuck, I highly recommend Robert Anton Wilsons "COSMIC TRIGGER Volume 1 Final Secret of the Illuminati"...

My fave semi-autobiographical book is "Way of the Peaceful Warrior" by Dan Millman.

books are wonderful friends, and i think that the more "ammo" ya got under your hat, the better off you are ...
but... the map is not the territory..
the finger pointing at the moon is not the moon...
and when you ge to the far shore of the river, you can leave the raft behind...
sooo.... intellectual knowldege should be "upaya".. but knowledge is not the same as wisdom.. simple beings can be our teachers somtimes...and sometimes if you can't drop the baggage, you can't fit through the door.... (hmmmm, sorry for the lecture... talking to myself here, hehheh...)
may you find that which you seek (hint: it is not far from you...)
blessings, friend....

I would suggest that you read whatever you need to read in order to UNDERSTAND the mind of Nietzsche. That's all.

Anything by Thich Nhat Hanh is an excellent read, Gods Debris by Scott Adams is also interesting

I recommend The Hermitage Within by A Monk (the author is a monk who prefers to remain anonymous). ISBN 0 87907 780 8. "What did Jesus do in solitude? He contemplated. His whole soul was before God. The beatific light bathed his mind."
