casing w/o a greenhouse or humidification?

with some leftover spawn i made a mini casing ~1pint wbs cased with 3:7 coir:verm . i don't have a humid place to put it so i was thinking of letting it sit in my room with a piece of waxed paper on it, and spraying it as it gets dry. Then aftr each flush, dunk the casing. How well do you think this will work? i picture it being similar to an outdoor bed. i'm confident it'll pin fine,but how well will the fruits develop in 30-40% humidity?

also, do you think it'd be better to leave it by the fresh, cool air by a cracked window, or say, on my desk? I'm gone during the day so i won't be able to provide fae, thats why i was thinkin of putting it by the window.

why not just get yourself a small sterlite or rubbermaid and some perlite? that is all you require to create a humid environment for your mushrooms.

You gotta have high humidity to fruit, though. I would think putting it by a window is gonna dry your casing out, unless it's really humid where you live(doesn't sound like it...). I had my last casings on top of perlite in a small sterlite like Altered's talking about. I had it sealed all day w/ RH at 95-100%. I just fanned it once before I left for work and once before I crashed at night. No problemo...
