Acoustic Guitars?

I thought this one looked pretty sweet.
What do ya'all think? Any other recommendations? I am something to jam on in my room when I just can't blast the electric/amp rig. I would also like something that is stage worthy just in case.
Gratze!

i highly recommend getting this pack. the acoustic guitar might not be stage worthy, but it's great quality. so is the mandolin. my friend bought this set, and while i havent seen either of the instruments, he says they're both great quality. i have a rogue banjo and it too is great.
i highly recommend getting the mandolin to fool around with. i bought one around 6 months ago, and i must say, it's just so much fun to play. i play it much more often than guitar now.

no worries. the advice still stands to pick up a mandolin either way though

hell yeah dude, takamines are great. i've played a few(at the samash store only ) and they feel great and sound just as good. Alvarez are great guitars too. maybe you should look into them.

i own an alvarez acoustic/electric, and it's not up to my tastes. i have played a few takamines and i have loved them all so yeah...i guess the point of this post was to get some reassurance on takamines
think i am going to go purchase it now

I would recommend buying a acoustic from a shop and not online. Some instruments are hit and miss, and acoustics are that type. You wanna try out a bunch and when you find the right one you will know it. Might be a completely different brand than you were expecting to buy.

Takamines are well-reputed. That looks like a good deal. If you just want a playable acoustic, then order it. If you want to make sure it's stage-worthy (in your opinion) you really should go to a shop and try some.
Let us know what you end up with... my next guitar is definitely going to be a single cutaway acoustic like that one.

As do I. I got mine for $150 from the factory because it has a splotch in the stain on the back of the body....big deal. Best accoustic I've ever owned.

It all matters on how much you want to spend. For several hundred dollars I'd say go for one of the higher quality Epiphone acoustics. For $600-$800 you can get the lowest priced Martin's (all Martin's are good) and Alvarez's (great guitars for the money). For $1,000 and over I'd check out Taylor's and Yarri Alvarez's. Gibson's are nice but they are over-priced.
