The worst Mushroom Trip of my life.

So about two nights ago I decided to eat 2.8 grams of some very good cubes at my friends house. I eat them with some orange juice and roll a blunt, but I don't have enough weed to fit a whole swisher! So I put in some tobacco, which is my first terrible mistake. I go outside and smoke the blunt and the tobacco makes me cough like crazy. About 5 minutes later the mushrooms start to kick in and I can't breath right for some reason. I have to take deep breaths and have these terrible panick attacks. I honestly think its from the tobacco because I have never once smoked tobacco in the many upon many of times I've tripped. I felt like shit and spent the next 3 hours grasping my chest and trying to breath correctly. I also pace around the house tripping like crazy. The visuals are amazing and I can only compared them to 55-65grams of wet cubes. Anyways I have to take a shit. I'm already very panicky at this point and when I shit and wipe I see blood. And lots of it. I have the first hemorrhoid of my life and have no idea what it is. I show my friend and begin to freak out over the next 2 hours thinking I'm going to die because I can't breath and because I'm shitting massive amounts of blood. By now I'm at the 6 hour mark, an hour longer then my trips have ever lasted so I'm convinced I will not come down forever. Eventually my friend suggests taking some Valium and I do. My breathing slows to a normal pace and I start to trip a lot less hard, but the blood still scares me. By now its the 6 and half hour mark and its 3:30 in the morning. Two and half hours later then I would have expected and I eventually pass out by 5. I wake up at 11 still dazed and I have a terrible after glow. I still feel like I'm tripping in some ways and go to the doctor around 12 to be told its a simple hemorrhoid and not a cut in my intestine. Thats probably the worst trip I have ever had. I don't ever plan on consuming any tobacco with mushrooms ever.

That's pretty fucked up man. Though i'm sure the breathing problems only persisted because you were thinking too much about what effect the tobacco had on the blunt -- which normally would be none.

I've smoked marijuana on probably 15 or 20 of my mushroom trips and several LSD trips. Never tobacco though and I smoke tobacco maybe once a year unless its the paper from a blunt. In which case I smoke maybe four or five blunts a year.

Damn man, that's just bad luck... hemorrhoids are awful.

The breathing and the panic attacks happened to me once for about an hour when i was comming down. I knew everything would be alright but still i couldnt stop it and it seemed like forever.
As for the hemeroids, sorry to hear about that man. That sure does sound awful.

Sorry for the late posting on this but I thought I would add some input.
I wanted to give some insight on the breathing problems. I have recently been diagnosed with panic attacks and have had the symptoms that you describe. I have been put on Effexor for them.
The only real symptom I had of these attacks were breathing issues. It never felt like I could get a good breath. I felt short of breath much of the time. All of my panic symptoms have disappeared since starting the effexor. I still get the odd shortness of breath.
My doctor told me to think of shortness of breath when you can no longer perform the same work you used to be able to without breathing heavy. Really when you are having a panic attack you are stronger then ever. Feeling like you can't breath is most likely neurological, its when you start micro-managing your breathing when you run into these feelings. Your body has mechanisms to perform breathing sub-consciously and they work just fine.
Now that I realize my symptoms I am going to wean myself off Effexor. I have had no problems with interactions between Effexor and mushys.
Hope someone finds this useful. Cheers

Damn dude are you kidding me? I chief cigarettes on shrooms.
Anyway, there are some people whose breathing is affected by the many strange chemicals in cigarettes today, and can cause bad shortness of breathe, I know two people like this and both were told this by their doctors.
