looks to be three or possibly four species in there, notably what look like C. lactea [is often reported as toxic] and Panaeolous foenisecii [==Panaeolina foenisecii]. these are of little interest to most, due to thier common place occurrance [two of the most common lawn mushrooms], insubstantial size and lack of edibility/cullinary value.

the two specimens at bottom look to be a seperate species and i won't venture a guess at this point.

spore print your mushrooms and when you ask for identification help; write up a description for each collection you think distinct.

[edit: to clarify sense of wording]

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

Hey, I was with this guy when he found these. Did a spore print and there were some black prints, some light tan, and dark tan ones. So now im wondering if these black ones are alright? But the most part it seems rather hopeless since So cal doesn't have much of anything growing.

so cal does have Panaeolus subbalteatus, which are [seemingly not always] active to a small degree. the Mushroom Hunting FAQ [located in the Mushroom Info>Find Mushrooms menu of the top nav bar] has good info on this species. It is easy to distinguish lawn occurring Panaeolus species from Panaeolina foenisecii with a deep spore print, but unless there is a clear blueing reaction, seperating these Panaeolus species from Pan subbalteatus requires a little bit of familiarity.
