Outdoor vs. Indoor

What are the cons of outdoor grows? Why are so many people aiming for indoor when contamination is virtually eliminated outdoors? I don't understand. Is it merely that many people can't grow outside because of space/strain, or is there some advantage in flush size or something like that if you go indoors?

indoor is a better controlled environment than outside. a lot of people live places where the conditions are not sufficient or too extreme at times for growing. outdoor here is around 85-90degrees with 40-70%humidity sometimes higher sometimes lower. inside my grow room it's always ~72-74F and monotubs are self humidified and greenhouse are easily controlled with a coolmist :wink:


as far as outside goes...well that's where i throw all my contams, hehe far far away from my house so they cant ever make it back! i've yet to grow outside which i think i might look into in the fall?

Yeah, environment is a big part of it. I'm planning a Ps.Cyan bed once I find some live culture this fall.
The downside is it will only fruit yearly, and the first flush won't be until next fall.

The upside is it'll be a huge patch.
