Anyone have expirence with this? And does it work well?

bass, that faq says to use latex gloves, lysol, etc. prior to creating the jars. is this part really necessary if you're going to be pc'ing to sterlize the jars?

I never use either...i do all my work using the oven tek though.

I've used the oven tek for innoculating but not for mixing substrate and creating jars. I figured you didn't have to be sterile with those processes since you're going to be sterlizing the jars anyway. Was I wrong?

No...you dont need the oven tek before you sterilize anything...just after if your going to transfer anything...like spores into sterilized honey water...etc.

I presterilize, use the oen tek, ware latex gloves and a dust mask before i sterilize my jars but i don't have a pressure cooker yet either( I've been steaming for a year now) and i live in at high altitude. This might be overkill but I'm REALLY paranoid. I should have enough for a really nice PC next week i can't wait!!
