i'm confused as to why you're getting so defensive. i don't see him arguing that you know your shit with this post. he's explaining the goof:igor:who started this thread clearly will have no idea what an amanita is or any other mushroom for that matter, which was clear by his first few posts. Rather than getting on you about whether or not you know your stuff, i'd suggest maybe he was trying to say that an amateur such as the original poster may easily mis ID an amanita (if they even have a clue what an amanita is), especially one who clearly has done no research. You, myself and coon all know can be a deadly mistake.
