I think I found a pan subb. Just one.
    #6996304 - 06/01/07 04:27 PM (16 years, 9 months ago)

It was just one but the print was Jet black. Here's a few pictures of the lonesome fellow. Hopefully he will have some friends.

Is there any way to give the patch a little "boost" for lack of a better word?

Hey, Louise, what happened to your post?  I was just replying to it.  Maybe you changed your mind, but here's what I say in response to Louise saying "this is a prime example of how a print can look black if you wish hard enough":

Right?  That print looks dark brown.  And Paneolina foenisecii have very dark brown prints, much darker than Agaricus.  Maybe it's just the camera or my monitor, but I think that is a very dark brown print, and the mushrooms is a pan foens.  But I could be totally wrong.  And doodoo, if you say it's black, then I believe you

I started to post that, then realized that I was mistaken about the pictures.
The brown print is that of the Agaricus. (right)
I still think thats a subb. (left)

Xmush, you know I love ya man, but that print looks jet black.

Of course, there are dozens of Panaeolus species, all which drop jet black spores and tend to look very similar... But it could be a subb.

I think the print looks walnut brown in the top photo near the center where the spores are not quite as thick. I hope I am wrong though.

Are the gills of the mushroom walnut colored, or darker?
