Permafried Pickerel..
    #6986466 - 05/30/07 09:56 AM (16 years, 9 months ago)

I got a bit creative last night and cooked up supper and added some ganga butter to almost everything! Here is what I did in order..

Ganga Ghee:

3/4 cup of Ghee ( clarified butter )
1/2 Oz of some bud trimmed from the lower parts of the plant(not the heady nugz)

Melt ghee in pan. Add dried ground up bud and let simmer for 1 hour. Strain threw paper towel into glass jar. Let cool.

Dijon glaze for fish:
1/4 cup of Ganga Ghee
1/4 cup Dijon Mustard
1/6 cup Honey

Mix everything together in a bowl. Adjust the amount of mustard to taste. Too little mustard makes the fish taste soggy for some reason.

The salad:
1 head baby romain letus
1 large carrot
1/2 bell pepper
Cucumber
New growth trimmed from male MJ plants

Cut up everything and toss.

Salad dressing:
1/3 cup Ganga Ghee
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tbsp Fresh Basil
1 tbsp left over bud from ghee
Apple Cider vinigar to taste
Salt and Pepper to taste.

Blend everything up together with some sort of blender until creamy. Doing it by hand with a wisk works but takes forever.

Fries:
6 baby red potatoes
the rest of the Ganga Ghee
1/2 cup olive oil

Heat both the Ghee and olive oil up to ~300F Cut up potates and fry until crisp. Let them sit on a paper towl before serving to soak up the extra oil.

Fish:
Either fresh Pickerel/Jack/Salmon
1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Preheat oven to 400f. Coat pan with oil. Place fish in pan. Lightly coat the fish with the Dijon glaze. Bake until done. turn oven to broil to brown the top before serving.

Enjoy!

Thanks!

You could definitely taste the extra seasoning, but it actually went well with the fish.

Well, hard to say for myself since I had smoked a nice sized J before starting to cook, and again after dinner.  But I definintly had a stronger buzz last for about 3 hours or so after dinner :rasta:

My wife on the other-hand reports that she got a nice buzz for a few hours.  I believe her since she went to bed at 8:30pm
