North Texas Shroom Identification
    #6974879 - 05/27/07 07:43 PM (16 years, 9 months ago)

A friend and I stumbled upon a graveyard full of mushrooms after a heavy rain last night, and we are at a loss as to what they are. Many are under 1" tall, but a few hover around 1 3/4" with medium to dark tan coloring on the caps and stems. There were only these and notably white species in the graveyard itself, so we only picked the kind in the attached photos. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure you do some of the spore prints on dark paper. I suspect they might be white spored mushrooms.

I have seem a mushroom like that here round Harris Co. and it was growing from mulch...

It has the look of a wood dweller.

I just noticed those too. I think you are right. I'm wondering if the rest are a Tubaria species, brown spore print. But they also bear some resemblance to Laccaria, which is why I suggested printing some on dark paper. However, the gill attachment looks wrong for Laccaria.
