Sour Millet After 3 Days Soaking, OK To PC?

Was soaking some pure millet and forgot about it for a day, on the 3rd day went out to get it and it was smelling pretty funky. I washed it off pretty good and put it into autoclave bags then PC'd for 100 minutes at 15psi, I havent inoculated yet w/ LC but I will be soon once my needles arrive.
I was wondering, wont a PC pretty much rape anything that was in there? I left it going for 100-mins and cool all night, its still smelling pretty odd but I am thinking it just needs to air out a bit as everything that was in there is still dead but just stinky a bit?
grain sitting that long should have really opened up those endospores eh? haha... i dunno.

the smell could be baterial contamination and from what i understand is that some bateria can survive through a 15 psi pressre run.

It just depends on a few different factors. The millet is so cheap you could always just start over, but there is that lost time. Just go with it since it's already done, but keep them seperate from other jars. Start another batch just in case if your worried.

That sour smell is fermentation. From what I understand, fermented seed is still ok to use, but that was also only fermented seed that had soaked for about 20 hrs. What you may want to do is make some new "back up" jars and inoculate half as many of each kind. That way if the sour ones fail you'll still get at least half as many shrooms.

It can be used, but should be used right away. You should't soak/sterilize until you have your inoculant in hand. RR

and airing it out again will only negate the whole point of sterilizing in the first place.

1 Bag totally gone. Sour Rot. Fucking nasty. Tried to do a g2g in the GB and ended up w/ a puddle in the bottom. Oh well, the rest are getting owned and tossed too I suppose.
