Odd way to fix an upset stomach

Well Ill give you a little backround first. My stomach is terrible when it comes to foods. Im lactose intolerant and many things make me feel really sick to my stomach. I'd say 90% of the time I eat mushrooms I through up after I come down. I tried several different things such as motion sickness pills which just delayed the sick feeling. Grinding it in gel capsuls helped but I get terrible stomach cramps! The most uncomfortable thing ever tripping. I've turned to tea but honestly its very unsatisfying. I use the tea recipe on here and I feel like I need 5 grams for a tea and honestly I don't want to "waste" that much.
Heres the interesting part. Yesterday my girlfriend and I consumed some mushrooms and as we were laying in the Park my stomach started to feel very sick. I told her about it and she reached into our lunch bag and cut up a lime. She told me to suck on the lime and eat a little. I did and about 30 seconds later my stomach cramps were fixed!
Can someone explain to me why lime our lemon would settle my stomach? Am I just being a hypochondriac or is there some medical reason for this working? Looks like Im going to enjoy myself much more often since this seems to work!

One great way to deal with nausea is to eat ginger pills, or just nibble on a ginger root throughout the trip. I remember one time the ginger root morphed into a little person, because it was kind of shaped that way
Then I bit "his" head and it looked like his mouth made a sad face. Funniest shit ever.

Well, after reading this, i looked on google. many people/websites claim to have their nausea/vomiting cured by lemon or lime juice. No clue on why or how this works, but i do not think it is just a placebo effect. i will actually try this next time i get stomach ache.

follow my tea recipe in my signature!
my stomach cant handle shrooms unless its in tea. Tea is way more potent if done correctly. Also my recipe has herbs in it that calm the stomach.

Tea is great and all but I just don't get the umph that I get when I eat them. Ginger pills didn't work for me at all but a piece of ginger really helped my stomach one time but sadly I usually don't remember it when I dose. But I ALWAYS have limes or lemons at my house. I usually have a lime to suck on through out the day because they taste good to me. Its odd I never tried it until now.

Kay. I have serious doubts that a 3.5 gram tea and 3.5 grams eaten will have the same potency. I know how to make tea so don't patronize me because I've made tea probably 10 times with several different recipes and I used a coffee grinder. It just doesn't satisfy me

Less potent or not. It simply wouldn't make any sense for the tea to be More potent w/ the same amount of initial shrooms.

because shrooms are hard to digest
when the psilocybin is suspended in water, it hits you all at once, instead of the hour or so it takes for your stomach to disolve the fuit bodies.
think about it.

Well to do a psilocybin extraction I read you need to let it sit in alcohol for 2-3 weeks. And for a tea its being absorbed in water in 15-20 minutes. Think about that. 3.5 gram tea will not be as potent and 3.5 grams eaten. I know how to make a tea trust me, and I make them for a couple friends that don't like to eat shrooms. Im sorry but I just don't like tea because it does not satisfy what im looking for when tripping. It does not have enough kick at all.
I have tripped off teas plenty of times. 3.5 grams of tea is more like 2.1-2.3 gram range if eaten. Sorry but you can NOT dilute that much psilocybin in water in 15-20 minutes.

have it your way. i can trip well off 1.5g tea of my homegrown, and eating 1.5 does allmost nothing.
how do you brew it? The only way that it works for me is to steep it in a ceramic teapot. Simmering it has done nothing but ruin batches. Pouring boiling water into a cup with shrooms in it has made patheticly weak tee IME.

With all this tea argument going on, I can't help but ask: can you make a tea from putting mushrooms into room-temperature water, and let it sit for an hour - 24 hours? or will i just get some extreme mushroom mush (at the hour point)?

Many forms on indigestion are cause by a lack of stomach acid. So in theory lime juice would help.

who said shit about room temperature water?
its simple dudes. boil water. put in ceramic tea pot, which keeps it insulted. acidfy water with lemons. steep for twenty minutes with other herbs you like.
and when you pour the tea out 20 minutes later, its still steaming and too hot to drink
jeez, not complicated guys. learn about the art of making infusions. or read the recipe in my sig.

Moon, did i say that anybody said anything about room temperature? i wanted to know about if i could use it because i wont have access to heated water when i would like to make tea. don't have to flip out man . also, i checked out the recipe in your signature, it looks great, however i have none of those ingredients on hand lol. if it makes any difference in the main point of this thread: sprite was often given to me as a child for stomach ache. sprite is... lemon/lime soda just throwing that out there.
