Trippy Lyrics (Strawberry Letter 23)
    #687586 - 06/19/02 05:58 AM (21 years, 8 months ago)

(No, the subject is NOT a typo!) Comments Please, People?

Hello my love, I heard a kiss from you
Read magic satin playin? near too
All through the morning rain, I gaze, the sun doesn?t shine
Rainbows and waterfalls run though my mind

In the garden I see
West purple shower bells and tea
Orange birds and river cousins
Dressed in green

Pretty music I hear
So happy and loud
Blue flowers echo
From a cherry cloud

Feel sunshine sparkle pink and blue
Playgrounds will laugh, if you try to ask is it cool, is it cool
If you arrive and don?t see me
I?m gonna be with my baby

I am free
Flying in her arms
Over the sea

Stained window, yellow candy screen
See speakers of kites
With velvet roses
Diggin? freedom flight

A present from you
Strawberry Letter 22
The music plays
I sit in for a few

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

A present from you
Strawberry Letter 22
The music plays
I sit in for a few

(Artist-Shuggie Otis - "Inspiration Information")
(More Popular version covered by The Brothers Johnson)

Love to hear some comments, my next trip track list will include this song (by Bros. John.)

I'll probably always do drugs, so that just contributes to the addiction to The Shroomery... It's a vicious circle of bliss. :tongue2:

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought--
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One two! One two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

"And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"
He chortled in his joy.

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe

As it says:

>A present from you
>Strawberry Letter 22
>The music plays
>I sit in for a few

>(Artist-Shuggie Otis - "Inspiration Information")
>(More Popular version covered by The Brothers Johnson)

The weirdest (and what makes it an even more trippy thing) is the title - "Strawberry Letter 23"

1983 (a Merman I Should Turn To Be) : from Jimi Hendrix's "Electric Ladyland"

IMO this is one of the greatest songs ever written and this guy was WAAAYYY out there! The song is about fifteen minutes long and has some of the most tripped out, beautiful guitar sounds ever recorded.

"Hooray I awake from yesterday,
Alive but the war is here to stay.
So my love Catherina and me,
Decide to take our last walk through the noise to the sea.
Not to die, but to be reborn,
Away from lands so battered and torn....
Forever...forever.

"Oh Say Can You See" it's really such a mess.
Every inch of Earth is a fighting nest.
Giant, pencil lipstick, tube shaped things,
Continue to rain and cause screaming pain.
And the Artic stains change from silver blue to bloody red.
As our feet find the sand and the sea,
Staight ahead...straight up ahead.

Well, it's too bad that our friends,
Can't be with us today.
Well, it's too bad the machine that we built,
Will never save us...that's what they say,
That's why they coming with us today.
And they also said, it's impossible...
For man to breath and live underwater,
Forever was a main complaint today.
And they also threw this in my face....
They said, uh... anyway....you know good and well
It would be beyond the will of God,
And the grace of the king, grace of the king. YEAH!

So my darling and I make love in the sand,
To salute the last moment ever on dry land.
Our machine has done it's work,
Played it's part well.
Without a scratch on our body and we bid it fare-well.
Starfish and giant foams greet us with a smile.
Before our heads go under we take our last look,
At the killing noise and the outta style.

Way outta style...the outta style...Oh yeah! The outta style.
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! The outta style."

D/L'd it and listened as I read your post. I may add that to my next trip track list.
Thanks... So much music, so little time!

Everything that ever was

is a song that is sung into existence

I keep stepping over the boundary

and I see the essence of my being

Spiraling, panoramic emotion

Sentimental, eternal vision

Melodies of intrinsic meaning

Riding so very High...

Fairies Wear Boots : Black Sabbath

"Coming home late last night,
Suddenly I got a fright.
Looked through a window and surprized what I saw.
A fairy with boots and dancing with a dwarf.
Allright now!

Yeah fairies wear boots and ya gotta believe me.
I saw it, I saw it, I tell you no lies.
Yeah, fairies wear boots and ya gotta beleive me.
I saw it, I saw it with my own two eyes.

So I went to the doctor to see what he could get me.
He said, "Son, Son you've gone to far,
Cause smokin and trippin is all that you do.
YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!"
