All electric heaters have exactly the same efficiency. It's 100%. 100% of the power you use is turned into heat. This may sound like a bunch of bullshit but I kid you not.

It's a fact covered in most undergraduate electro-magnetic physics classes.

It is also true that electric heat is more expensive than most other forms such as gas or kerosine.

OK ,,,then is there a better unit based on features ,,,say is the radietor oil type any better than the forced air type ????

I'm excluding Quartz since its not efficient for the use at hand.

Nothing's 100% but they're all about the same, something like 98% efficient.

Entropy...everything turns to heat, one of the easiest transformations to make.

Some heaters emit a bit of red light. :wink:

I agree about quartz tube heaters. Everything stays cold except the things you want to stay cold. I favor the ceramic heaters myself. Get something that won't burn the place down, and preferably isn't too huge.
