What is a mother if not the perfect friend?
She's someone who'll love you till the very end.
No matter how often you fail at life:
a mother's love will pull you through the strife.
Cause she'll always have faith...even we you, yourself, don't.
And it's that kind of strength that'll topple the "won't"
Cause so many times - we won't even try...
afraid of the crash if we're getting too high.
But a mother believes that you CAN overcome.
In her eyes, you see, you've already won.
An it's that kind of strength that let's you do more.
It's her undying faith that allows you to soar.
But it's more then just strength - it's acceptance, you see.
Her love will shine through when the world shows no glee.
Cause you'll always be someone...in her eyes at least.
From the eyes of a mother - you're never a beast.
And it's that kind of hope that brings out the best.
So you strive to do better, to live up to this 'test'
Cause you don't ever want her to give up on you.
You strive for perfection because of her que.
She is your reason to always do more.
And it's because of her that you truely can soar.
An it's this very mixture of strength and of love,
that gives you a reason to rise up above.
And it's because of all this, that unlike any other,
twill never be a second to your darling mother.

It's the second sunday of May if you're in the US.

not a bad poem muppet. I would get rid of the word "cause", the lines will work better without it imo.
