 How many other people don't even bother thinking about the afterlife?

A lot of people out there form some idea about what happens after you die. But, personally, I don't even bother thinking about it because it's something I have absolutely no idea about. So, does anybody else just not even give it any thought (serious thought, that is)?

I'm not interested in what happens after my life so much as why we're here and what all this really is. So, no, I don't think about any possible "afterlife".

No, I didn't think about the afterlife; I just made a post to see if anybody else didn't think about it. "Thinking about it" means speculating about what happens when we die--I wasn't doing that while I was making the post.

i dont have it on my mind all that often, but i do wonder. after a few minutes i realize that im not gonna get anywhere figuring it out so i usually just stop.

I don't give it much thought.
I thought about it. Looked at different religions and then decided that no one really knows.
Sometimes I'm leaning toward death = absolute nothingness...
Other times I feel that there may be something.
But yeah I don't think about it a whole lot. I try to live my life.
You can't really know, cannot I repeat know until you actually die. Sure I guess it can be a subject of philosophical debate for some but I rather debate other things.

I'd say my interest in the afterlife is more intellectual than self-interested. I'm interested in the nature of consciousness, and whether it arises in the brain or is merely processed by it(I tend to lean towards the latter view). I think I'd personally be ok with no afterlife, but I have a feeling that consciousness is something greater than just our body.

yea i do sometimes b/c its such a baffling and interesting subject, but i dont waist a whole lot of time thinking about it. id rather spend my time enjoying my life and developing my spirit and being a better person everyday than thinking about wat happens when i dont have it ne more or when its taken away from me....
it does cross my mind often though.

Sometimes it can be fun to speculate about, like a brain exercise, but if you agree that you have absolutely no control over the circumstance, i.e. death and the "hereafter", then it can get tedious and unimportant as one usually only continues to hold interest in something if one can have some say or control in the matter. I think about the after life occasionally.
And its not just when I toke, but I do bring it up a lot in conversation then 
well the way I believe how the afterlife goes. Our soul/as well as our mind goes where it wants to go. Depending if you're a high spirited person, you'll go someplace pleasant. & if you're dark and melancholy, you'll stay in someplace horrible. But I don't believe we're dumped here and there by god. I don't really believe in a hell, cause if God/Allah loves everyone, he wouldn't dump people into the pit of fire. Unless you probably ended your own life or shot somebody. I like to think for myself how things happen, not be bitched at telling me where I'm going to go.

I've thought about it. I've thought long and hard about ceasing to exist which is a little hard to imagine because there is nothing to imagine when you don't exist. I really have no clue what will happen though, I guess it'll be a surprise, and if there is no surprise afterlife then I won't even know because I'll be dead, so I don't worry about it.
