blue tint, foul smell, dried shrooms

i have a friend who recently acquired a half oz of what appeared to be dehydrated cubensis. the stems had blueish veins, and carried a strong foul odor. his source assured him they were ok so he ingested them at 1.5 gram increments two times. he didnt feel anything out of the ordinary, actually was quite pleasant. he was wondering if this could be some form of contaminant due to improper drying teks, seeing how the specimen still seemed to have some rubbery texture. as far as he knows, cubes bruise blue, but he has never seen it on dried ones, and colors usually mean contaminants. he searched the archives but couldn't find anything.

That's what they look like and there's hundreds of pictures of dried mushrooms on this board including right here in this forum.

For future reference, this forum is for cultivation related contamination problems, not what you find in purchased product. Thanks.

The answer is: The mushrooms (actives, deadlies, whatever they may be) are rotting because they were placed in a plastic bag while wet. Do not eat them.
