HUMIDITY PROBLEM

heres the setup--styrofoam cooler with perlite and water on bottom and handspraying.. I just switched from this custom plexi-glass box i built but I still cant get the humidity past 80%... any advice/equipment recommendations???thanks to all

Hey,

I would be willing to bet money on it that you are using one of the RH Guages that u buy at a petstore. If so, then dont worry about it.

I never got those little suckers past 80-85%. I dont even think that they will go that far. If the walls fo the terranium are wet with water droplets all over then your fine.

You might want to go to Walmart, they have a great little Digitla Guage for about 20-25 bux, will show RH, and Temp....

How are you measuring the humidty?

Radioshack brand temp/hygro-63-1032-- the fuckin thing wont go past 80%. i only have a cake in there now but im hoping for casings soon.
