Something quite benign but I'd find it useful and hopefully others would too. When you log in you're taken to your profiles home page first, it would be really handy if that page had one of those drop down "jump to" boxes to save me a click and a scroll. Possible?

You can go directly to the forum front page, just select that option in your preferences.

I realize what you have been saying - I've just been leading you on to bring you to my point. I don't see the point of a panel like that since the drop-down menu covers it. I think you simply love to have all kinds of crazy shit scattered throughout the pages; case in point, your suggestion to have every emoticon all over the screen. 
Clearly the drop-down menu is more efficent and conserves space, which, in my opinion, are advantages.

Yeah I'm with f_g. We have 55 active forums, that would be one big clusterfuck of links. If there's a specific page which doesn't have the 'Jump To' list and you think it should be there, please post the URL.

I like to think this site is above average in the layout and usability department. And we got that way by not following this type of suggestion.

The fact of the matter is: it would be extremely conveniant to have links to the forums at your disposal no matter where you were on the site. Exactly - the drop-down menu. Ythan stated that if there were any pages on the website that the drop-down menu was absent from, to feel free to let him know about it.

You could make it so that when you go to Community->Message Board that it would make another drop down menus with all the forums, or all the categories, then say you hover over "Community" all the community forums pop up. Then there would only be a cluster fuck when you want there to be a cluster fuck, and JunkFood would be happy.

Perhaps it could be set up so that hovering over the Main Index link at the top would produce a drop-down list for all of the forums. That way JunkFood doesn't have to actually click anything.
