Cold shocking casing + misting it, even though it has mycelium?

Hey
I've got a casing, which is rather slow. It has mycelium, but no pins. The other casing already has 1½+ pins, so should I try putting it in a cold place for 8h, and then saturating the surface?

Hmm, ok - so I should really just put it back in the FC? Regarding misting; can I mist the casing soil, even though there's some mycelium showing?
Thanks for the replies - I truly appreciate them!

If it looks DRY. Mist INDIRECTLY. A slight fog, that settles downward. Don't blast it directly.

Yes but mist the air above the soil and let the mist fall gently on the surface most important thing is to get that casing up to near saturation just prior to pinning then KEEP THAT RH UP (98-100%) as pins develop. You can lay off misting during the pinning process if you follow these parameters.

Ok, now I've misted it, and you can see the mist settle on the casing. It looks right to me.
I'll let it settle for a minute or two, and put it in the FC - thanks for the replies! I appreciate the time you guys put into answering this thread!
