More from Shambhala. This is my idea of surrender to life. Letting it lead you where you need to be.
"You want to look into every situation and examine it, so that you won't be fooling yourself by relying on belief alone. Instead, you want to make a personal discovery of reality, through your own intelligence and ability. The sense of trust is that, when you apply your inquisitiveness, when you look into a situation, you know that you will get a definite response. If you take steps to accomplish something, that action will have a result-either failure or success. When you shoot your arrow, either it will hit the target or it will miss. Trust is knowing that there will be a message.
When you trust in those messages, the reflections of the phenomenal world, the world begins to seem like a bank, or reservoir of richness. You feel like you are living in a rich world, one that never runs out of messages. A problem arises only if you try to manipulate a situation to your advantage or ignore it.
Ordinarily, trusting in your world means that you expect to be taken care of or to be saved. You think that the world will give you what you want-or at least what you expect. But as a warrior you are willing to take a chance; you are willing to expose yourself to the phenomenal world, and you trust that it will give you a message, either of success or failure. Those messages are regarded neither as punishment nor as congratulation. You trust not in success, but in reality. But whatever the result that comes from your action, that result is not an end in itself. You can always go beyond the result; it is the seed for a further journey.

Shambhala's sounds like a way cool place. I wanna go there, but I can't seem to get directions there from Google Maps.
-------------------- Republican Values: 1) You can't get married to your spouse who is the same sex as you. 2) You can't have an abortion no matter how much you don't want a child. 3) You can't have a certain plant in your possession or you'll get locked up with a rapist and a murderer. 4) We need a smaller, less-intrusive government.

Knowing that there will be a message? (from whom or what?) Or fabricating a message? And we have seen the devastation that results from that!

There are no "messiahs" on that Path
-------------------- All this time I've loved you And never known your face All this time I've missed you And searched this human race Here is true peace Here my heart knows calm Safe in your soul Bathed in your sighs

i have a problem with surrender i also think that exposed desire in public is unbecoming. & i have a huge intolerance of shambala and trungpa for marketing himself as a product like disney so successfully but right now I am working on driving soon I will be better. already I killed nobody today and increased peace on local roadways.

Who doesn't have a problem with surrender?
Do you have a problem with him marketing himself or being successful. I couldn't tell.:D

What is described is the surrendering to what is at this moment. The messages are the feedback you get from the universe around you. This was not a description of a supernatural process, but just the living of ones life in harmony with the here and now.
-------------------- "A warrior is a hunter. He calculates everything. That's control. Once his calculations are over, he acts. He lets go. That's abandon. A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda
