Seriously cool music visualiser
    #6735427 - 04/01/07 04:42 PM (17 years, 1 day ago)

Anyone seen Project-M?

I found this recently and it's one awesomely spectacular visual show!  It seems to utilise an iterative screen grab technique, which can produce some smooth flowing colourful fractal like visuals (amongst many others).  I can imagine that it might be very cool to watch this thing whilst tripping!

Check it out:

Screeshots - Seriously, the screenshots do NOT do this thing justice in any way whatsoever.
Main Project-M site

Have fun.

Hmmm... I didn't check that; I just assumed there would be a Windows version too (as is the case 99% of the time).

I had a look at the downloads page and it seems there is a version for Winamp - it's called winamp-projectm, but it says that it's version 0.94 Beta and was last updated mid-2004, so I have no idea how it compares with the latest 0.99 version.

Checked it out, milk drop still reigns IMO, although it was kind of cool one of the presets is named Rovastar - The Shroomery.

Well, I'm not sure now. From what I'm being told, there are huge differences and massive improvements between versions 0.97 and 0.99, so I'd imagine that you're not getting even close to the full experience if you're falling back to version 0.94.

Guys this is milkdrop for Unix systems, hence the M in projectM. You want the windows or winamp version then just get milkdrop.

I have the BenQ MP610.  I bought it as an alternative to owning a TV, and I simply can't express how glad I am that I did.  It was cheaper, looks better, takes up less space and it's portable.  I even took it to a gaming convention along with my PS2 and everything on the train; couldn't do that with a TV, lol!

Talking of speakers, I have a 4.1 surround that cost me about 60 dollars and I'm very happy with them.
