PF jar lid question(s)

After you have punctured the 4 holes in the lid of the PF jar, can u put micropore tape or tyvek over them and then PC the jars? And also, can u just inoculate through the tape or tyvek once its in ur glovebox?

once you PC micopore tape you will never get it off and if I'm not mistaken and I don't think I am you shouldn't need to use tyvek on cake jars because the top of the jars should have a layer of verm to keep out contamination,and yes I inoculate through tyvek every time I knock up a jar and than cover the hole with alcohol soaked micopore tape but my jars are rye and if your doing cakes you shouldn't need either
