I never roll joints, im really crappy at twisting them... but tonight i somehow rolled the greatest joint i have ever smoked(for its size). It was about a .6 but it lasted at least 20 minutes! i was with a friend who wasnt smoking and it just kept burnin! we were both amazed

I can roll those with my hands....I just thought I would throught that out there.
I used to use those machines though...until I started to practice. Try using a dollar bill at first to help you with the roll. There is NO TWISTING motion...AT ALL. Twisted joints do not smoke well and sometimes the paper burns faster than the bud. When you can roll a perfect joint with a dollar bill then learn to do it without.
I think you just inspired me to roll up a joint.

I have an issue with tightness.
I never seem to roll them tight enough, and when I do, I end up rolling them too tight, ripping the paper.

i usually rolled them loose. but the tightness was perfect ths time. id rather smoke j's then blunts... but most people roll joints that last like 4 minutes.

pack it tight, but leave some space on each side when your done, then close off the ends, and pinch it to even it out.

oh ok. practice makes perfect.
there is nothing worse than going to over to chill with someone you don't chill with that often. They do the good deed of breaking out a J but has one of those twisted, wrinkly, pregnant joints that you just know its worth smoking. Or with someone that cant roll for shit that uses 1 1/2 zigzags and rolls some loose ass joint of headies.
I don't want to be rude but there has to be a line drawn of where to actually say something. haha. Generally if I am in a group of people that are all farmiliar with each other I will always be the one to roll a joint...just worked out that no one really cares or knows how.

Here's some tricks:
-Lick the ends and the very center before you start to roll, not enough to get it wet, just slightly moist. It'll keep whatever smoking mix from falling out the ends quite so bad.
-If you can't really roll well, put the smoking mix in a piece of paper and roll it into a cylinder there, then just slide the rolling paper under the already formed core.
-Practice makes perfect... joints
