general consensus of potency of homegrown
    #6669749 - 03/14/07 05:41 PM (17 years, 9 days ago)

generally are homegrown mushrooms pretty potent?
I know there are a lot of factors that go into this but is there a possible simple answer to this?

Psilocybe cubensis are generally pretty potent.

Actually, read this post: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/6669710#Post6669710.

Compared to what?

If you've ever eaten mushrooms, I can almost guarantee they were homegrown. (Unless you live somewhere it's legal to cultivate them)

Or somewhere(Almost anywhere) where they can be found growing in the wild.My guess is homegrown ones would be quite a bit better providing that the cultivator was a shroomery member and did his homework to give his mushies what they need as they were growing up:yesnod: But I could be wrong as there has been quite a bit of talk on potentcy not having much to do with substrate and more to do  with genetics,I suppose there could be kick ass potency on wild ones as well that could beat out multispore inoculations, although once growers start isolating for potency and a proven strain is found I would put my bet on homegrown every time:rockon:

I am going to have to agree with you on isolated homegrown strains being considerably more potent than anything found out in the wild.

He means that if you are not living in a country or area where it is legal; then there are no commercially available options.

Currently all dealers are pretty much "homegrown" if they are in an area where it is an illegal substance.
