Get stoned, put on some headphones, and listen to this.

Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.

Wow! Not even a minute into it and I like it already!

Once, men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free.
But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them.

The line "I find myself searching for old selves/While speeding forward through the plate glass of maturing cells" just about blew my mind last night on 5g of mushrooms, after 3 hours of silence.

of Montreal sucks. there music may be good in some people's opinion. but the lead singer of that band is a complete and total douche bag. my friend saw them at a show and said that the guy was purposely spitting on people in the audience and was unbelievably full of himself, and took of all his clothes (nobody wants to see that), and spit on more people.

He is a douchebag, yes. They suck live, I've seen them twice.

I can still enjoy their recordings though.

They just didn't do it for me at all live...and I love live music.

Ive seen them live twice. Both were amazing shows. Kevin Barnes is a great performer. Although i read about the show he did where he got completely naked and had Gay and straight porn going on in the background. I felt that was kinda a lame move. We get it kevin barnes, "You're comfortable with your sexuality and gay people are fine by you." I agree with his message entirely but that manuever is overly blatant that it takes away from it in my opinion.

But they're great. Check out "satanic panic in the attic" and "sunlandic twins". Every track is great.

Holy Christ. Good thing I opened the file and played it instead of saving that bullshit to my drive. Thanks for offering up the music though. Still a noble effort on your part.
