2nd spring season for cyans??? (pacific northwest)
    #6619051 - 02/28/07 12:28 AM (17 years, 1 month ago)

OK, so during the season 3-4 months ago i came out with 4-5 pounds of the little cyan's, i live in the pacific northwest but I've been hearing from lots of people that the "second" season is almost here? I thought there was only one season (Oct-DEC)but my friends are saying there's a spring season?
This might be a really stupid question, but i had to get it answered, thanks for any help

This is a question for the Mushroom Hunting forum, not Cultivation.

However, the question may be against the hunting forum rules. Though, I think with the odd weather patterns, I'll try and answer.

To answer your question, Ps. cyanescens can be found year round.... however, it's not usually worth looking until Fall. They are simply too scarce most of the rest of the year. Never heard of a second Cyan season for the PNW, however, with global warming and all this funky weather, I'm thinking the California Bay Area might get a spring flush, so who knows.
