long term dried storage

Since potency oxidizes over time, what are the effects on the potency if exposed to carbon dioxide? I'm wondering if i store my dried treats in gallon+ sized glass jars and then blasting the container with a can of compressed air to replace the oxygen with co2, if that would aide in preservation.

Preserving Mushroom with CO2

Many growers say that their mushrooms, when kept in air tight glass containers, will last for 5+ years. Others recommend using carbon dioxide (CO2) for long term storage, to keep oxidation of psilocybin and psilocin to a minimum.

I have never noticed any lack of potency from keeping them stored in a glass qt jar with the lid band screwed down tight.As a matter of I know this is quite unlikely but they somehow seem to get stronger :thumbup:
