 How much acid is too much acid?

I can get good LSD, and me and some select friends love it. We have incredible experiences and in depth conversations and bond beyond words. We can see us doing it quite often, going out of the city and sitting around a fire on a cliff, watching the sun set, listening and watching the birds, looking down on the citylife, like hawks. LSD is the key to the doors of perception, it's not so much a "drug" but a way of thinking, a mindset if you will. What i want to know is how much is too much? I know it differs from person to person but please share any experiences you have and what effects if any, relatively frequent (say every 2 weeks) tripping has done for you.

I would say the key variable is how familiar and comfortable with each batch in particular.
The more familiar you are, the more you can handle

As long as the experiences stay mostly positive, I see nothing wrong with it. I tripped on acid once or twice a week for about seven months straight. Sometimes more often if I had the time. I don't regret it at all and in fact am sublimely GRATEFUL that I had the opportunity to trip all out like that.
 I would do it again + more.

I only use the plants now. I took acid about 15 times over 20 years ago. Most of it was not really that good. I always found there was a small "payback" from acid. In other words, it would give you clarity and insight for a few days after the trip, but after a week or so I would feel more lethargic than normal. It was nothing serious and the lethargic feeling would only be noticable for 3-5 days, but I did not like it. This is a feeling I never experience using cactus or mushrooms. For whatever reason the plant teachers have only given me a positive afterglow and a few good teachings to remember. I certianly don't want to say acid is bad as we are all effected differently from these entheogens, but I did not like it nearly as much as the I like the plants.
Does anyone else ever experience a small "payback" from acid?

Well, I was only 19 at the time and have not really wanted to try it since, but I think if it were in my head, I would have experienced it with the Peyote and mushrooms I was using at the time as well which I didn't. Anyway, I'm glad it works for you...

It varies from person to person; for some folks it's something to do on rare occasions, for others it's something to do all the time.

I'd just like to add that some guy took 65 hits of acid and had a really long trip. It was one of the TOTSE BLTC mods.

I have friends that have eaten 100+ hits countless times.....and all of these folks are literally the most SANE people I've ever met. No bullshit. They're also the most open, loving, compassionate people I've ever met, not to mention brilliant. They have the best attitude on life.
Now, this isn't to say that all of you should go out and eat a sheet or down a full sweet breath vial; doses like that are not for everyone, you need to be stable, you need to be very experienced, and you need to have faith. Most folks couldn't handle that much L.

I think it just matters who you are, I mean i trip out on cid like 4 times a month prolly n right now like once a month on fungus n im fine, i love the afterglow of cid. So id have to say it just matters how you are.

Acid always leaves me feeling rinsed after use... I can't really function on a normal level (i.e Im more forgetful & prone to spacing out).
Mushrooms, on the other hand, are a completely different story. When I'm I eat mushrooms I feel almost as if I was a child again. I come back from the trip (providing I don't mix with other drugs) feeling refreshed and with new focuses in life.
Just a preference thing I guess, many people I know would rather eat lots of acid - as its more visual and less of a body load, but compared to a tasty dose of mushrooms it doesn't really compare on an entheogenic level.
Just my opinions on the subject.
Too much is when you feel its too much. You'll know when this is, its the same with everything.
