Colorado hunting???

hello. i will be taking the next week off in colorado in the mountains staying at a cabin in the middle of nowhere. is there any shrooms out that direction that anyone might know of? is it even the right season for shrooms to be growing in colorado? where should i look? under dead trees? by rivers? not much shroom hunting experience, let alone the fact i'll be in an unfamiliar territory. but hey. there could be some out there, right?

to be specific, i'll be outside of Cedar Edge. i read that colorado gets Amintias, or somthing like that. what kind are these? what do they look like? by the sound of it, this is the species to keep an eye out for. can i get a description, or info on what these look like? thanks
