i asked them the same question and they said seance ancient Chinese or Japaneses culture.

any one know about this philosophy

I think the creators of the movie drew upon ideas from the ancient philosophers.

yea, they did. in high school philosophy class we watched the matrix and talked about it for like a week. i dont remember much though cause i havent seen the first movie in atleast 4 years, and didnt like the sequels. there's a book about it though:
