Kratom damage, help

Hey guys, I have had a kratom tree for a while now. Its been growing great in a nice sunny window. But in just the past week something happened to it. It started wilting all of the sudden and started losing leaves. I thought that the change in the amount of light we have been getting was the prob. So I have since put on three floros over it 24/7, as well as it being in the window. It has seemed to have slowed it. I have also put in a humidifier , and changed the soil. Here are some pics of the dropped leaves
Thanks guys!

how large is the plant and how large is the container it grows in?
how much nutes do you give this plant?
having it under light 24/7 is not going to fix it,. kratom does not want a 24hr light cycle, so give it some dark so it can relax at night.

The plant is about 9" high. I have re potted it in about a 15" across and 12" down. I have also given it some miracle grow nutes recently, around two weeks ago. Alright I won't have it under a 24/7 light cycle, I only did that because the man I bought it from enclosed a care sheet, stating that " there is no reason why it cant be under light 24/7". So I thought hell it could'nt hurt. So I will adjust it to a 18/6?

Maybe powdery mildew? I see some white stuff on the top leaf. Though, I don't think it would effect the whole plant. Maybe root rot as well? I don't know. My kratom trees have been performing excellently I recently repotted mine as well and they are still thriving as they were before.
Good luck!

It is normal for kratom to drop leaves. They do it all the time. If it wilts, it needs water. They love to be watered but don't grow them in standing water. If you gave us a pic of the whole plant it might help.

it should be that bad. as long as its still got some of its leaves it should be alright. if its a cold climate your in right now its possible its too close to the window for comfort but thats just an opinion.

My recently repotted Kratoms are still growing well. Dont know what you guys did! Mine are kept 2 feet from a south facing sliding glass door. At night I draw the blinds to help keep some of the cold out. There are also near three vents which let out heat pretty regularly. It never gets lower than 55 degrees around them. I also allow the soil to dry out completely before I water, or till i see some wilt. Lastly, I only water in the morning on sunny days to make sure the soil isn't too cold. The soil actually gets pretty warm on sunny days 80+ degrees.
If you love the plant so much, give it more soil! It really appreciates it. Mine are in 4-5 gallon containers.

I have 2 large kratom trees; 6' and 8'. Because they're so damn big, they're usually forced to spend the winter in less than optimum conditions; (ie. in a humidity tent) and sit in my brother's garage. By the time spring comes, all the leaves closest to the trunk have dropped off, sometimes leaving only 2-8 leaves on the end of each branch. This is when you make cuttings, 2 new branches will grow from where you made the cut, thus making your little speciosa even bushier instead of growing in a perfect cruciform pattern.
edit: and along the lines of what br said; kratom loves to be constantly growing. As soon as it's roots reach the walls of the pot and begin to curl in on themselves, it will start to drop leaves. You should have them planted in a pot twice the size than what you think is necessary.

here is kratom's reactions due to lack of humidity.
here is to nutrient lock out or salt build up. (sorry about being vague i just havent grown it long enough to decipher between the two or to know exactly which one it is). i will post shortly what they look like in less then ideal conditions during winter.

mine are completely organic. if thats what you ment. problem was i had been giving them a mixed nutrient regimen because i wasnt positive on what nutes when. this caused the problem. i havent used chems since i watered my mothers plants. never mine. 12 years of organic growing.

i do stay away from freshwater fish ferts because of the high nitrogen content and go with the saltwater for there npk ratio. i used a touch of bat guano and this is the result.

Wow nice plant! From the pictures I know that its not from lack of humidity. My plant now seems to be fine after I gave it more room.

I didnt know MG made organic ferts.. Is it possible that since u use salt water fish that they had salts in them n cause a salt buildup preventing nutirent uptake? IT looks more like a burn imo but it could be a lock out, I have no experiencee with kratom though..

well i think your getting me confussed with the original poster. i dont use miracle g. but they do sell fish emulsion which is organic but i dont use them. i have on one of my trees once but it really didnt effect it. mind you i only used it once because i was out of nutes for a while. i have 3 trees that are clones from each other and just purchased a very, very red clone also. hopefully its as nice as my others. anyway i hope everyone can one day grow this beautiful plant. even my mom has one. i gave her a cutting and its growing great. hope she doesnt trim it up when it gets large as she will just throw the magic away because she has no idea that it is a sacred plant(not that all plants arent sacred).
