shitty posture!

I have extremely forward shoulder and forward head. It all started when I bought a computer. I listend to music all day on it, and browsed the internet. My headphones I were using were to short so I basically had to jack my head foward to listen to music and I'd do this everyday for hours on end. Anyway, it left me with shitty posture. -.- I need help!

dude its simple
make time out of the day to stretch your back. try and touch your toes and then put your handss on the small of your back and lean backwardss ass far as you can. do torso twists, wave your arms and sshoulders in circless... Do all these once or twice or three times in the day.
Be aware of howw you;re carrying yoursself... Don't lean into the computer like that for hourss, the entertainment is not worth taxing your body. After like half an hour, get up and stretch for a few minutes.
I am 6'4'' so I find especially at work (I wwassh disshes) that I'm cranking my kneck wway dowwn to see what i'm doing, so I stretch and roll my kneck out all the time.
jusst be proactive about it. dont slouch

dude, stretching doesn't help me. i almost physically can't stand up straight. i think it's my bone structure, i'm not sure. i feel constantly tense in the muscles though.

i gave my neck bone spurs from bad computer posture and guitar playing, i went to a chiropractor and the nerves are in the black, which means the messed-upness (my term :| ) is off the chart.
do yoga, do lots of stretching, and probably see a wellness chiropractor. [not an injury chiropractor]

yeah, no shit. if i can't do something about my posture when i'm 60 i'll be at a 90 degree angle, no doubt. it's almost impossible for me to sit up straight and my shoulders are rolled badly. :/

Here's a really useful technique, derived from yoga.
Imagine you have small, upward domes of energy inside you. There are four; one in your sitting bones (the bones you sit on in your bum :stupid:), one in your diaophgram, one in the roof of your mouth and one in the top of your head. These domes are pushing upwards at all times. Align these domes dierctly upwards to achieve good posture. This is similar to imagining a string from the crown of your head pulling upwards all the time.
Im 6foot3 so I have think about my posture. Most things in the world were designed for people smaller than tall people (chairs, tables etc).
You'll improve your posture fast if you adopt the basic principles of alexander technique. Its quite simple really. You may want to consider just one or two lessons, that the fast way to pick up.

Dude, it would help you. It helps anyone with bad posture. It is in fact, the cure that you are looking for. Or one of the cures.

You can just read about it. Libraries have books inside them and are free but even one lesson with a teacher will help loads, give you the general idea. its really just anout self awareness and conscious change of your habits, and how you use your body. might cost £15 for an individual lesson,if you live in/near a city. your body is worth £15 anyways. i used to get it as part of my course as college.
